The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) will observe the Easter holiday with a partial closure. The university officially closed on Friday, April 18th, 2025, and will remain closed on Monday, April 21st, 2025, with full operations resuming on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025. Despite the break, several key facilities will continue to serve the needs of students and staff on campus.

Notably, the Prempeh II Library will maintain its 24-hour service throughout the entire Easter weekend, providing continuous access to study resources. In contrast, all other libraries, including college-specific libraries and the Library Mall, will be open daily with the exception of Sunday, April 20th, 2025. These secondary library facilities will resume their regular schedules on Monday, April 21st, 2025.

For recreational needs, the GUSSS Sports Complex will be closed for the duration of the Easter weekend. However, the Senior Staff tennis court will remain open, adhering to its regular operating hours. The KNUST Senior Staff Club House itself will resume its operations on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025.

Essential amenities for those staying on campus will remain accessible. Markets located at the various halls of residence will continue to operate throughout the Easter period, providing necessary supplies. Within the Jubilee Mall and the commercial area, Luxx Laundry will offer uninterrupted services for laundry needs. The Mini Market will also remain open throughout the Easter weekend. However, Newshorn Dental Consult and all other commercial facilities, including banks, will resume their services on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025.
This arrangement ensures that while the university observes the Easter holiday, essential services like the main library and hall markets remain available, while other facilities will resume normal operations upon the university's reopening on Tuesday.
